The machine in the photo is a corn grinder made by a company called Harrison McGregor & Co. Ltd., from Leigh in Lancashire. A belt was attached to the piece of metal sticking out of the left hand side of machine and this(the belt) in turn was attached to a tractor which then "drove" the corn grinder - I suppose a traction engine might also have been used for the purpose.
